Cesta se všemi přestupy a byrokraty na letišti v New Yorku byla trochu dlouhá a trochu stresující. Když jsem však doletěla do Madridu, cítila jsem se skoro jako doma, najednou bylo všechno mnohem známější a uvolňující.
Tři dny strávené v Madridu jsme s mou kamarádkou a hostitelkou Marií vyplnily výborným jídlem, procházkami po městě, poznáváním nových muzeí i kaváren, odpolední schovávanou před úmorným sluncem a půlnoční zmrzlinou.
Jedním z nejsilnějších zážitků pro mě byla návštěva nedělního Rastra a jeho ulicemi plnými stánkařů prodávajících všechno možné i nemožné. Bleší trh jak má být. A prý se tohle opakuje každou neděli dopoledne. Celotýdenní součástí této čtvrti jsou neuvěřitelné obchůdky plné designových věcí a nápadů. Některé jsem si tak trochu půjčila a můžete je vidět na fotkách.
Další čtvrť, která mě zaujala, je Lavapies - čtvrť národnostních menšin. Najdete tam restaurace všeho druhu a můžete si tam procvičit všechny cizí jazyky.
Madrid opět potěšil známými věcmi a překvapila několika novými.

Journey with all the changes and bureaucracy on the NEWARK airport was a bit long and a little bit stressful. However, when I landed in Madrid I almost felt like home, suddenly everything was much more familiar and relaxing.
I spent three days in Madrid with my friend and hostess Marie. We filled the days with delicious food, walks around the city, discovering new museums and cafes, hidding from the deadly sun in the afternoons and eating midnight ice-cream.
One of the most interesting things I saw was the Rastro on Sunday and its streets full of stallholders selling all kinds of things. A perfect example of a flea market. And apparently this is repeated every Sunday morning. But during the whole week you can find here many incredible design shops. I borrowed some of the ideas and you can see them on the pictures.
Another area which impressed me was Lavapies - district of ethnic minorities. You can find there restaurants from places all around the world and practice all languages you know.
Madrid pleased me once again with the familiar things and surprized me with some new ones.

El viaje con todos los cambios y la burocracía en el aeropuerto de Nueva York me cansó y estresó un poco. Sin embargo, llegando a Madrid me sentí de repente más cómoda y relajada, casi como en la casa.
Pasé tres días en Madrid, con mi amiga Marie quién me dejó dormir en su casa. Durante los días comimos comida deliciosa, caminamos por las calles de la ciudad, conocimos nuevos museos y cafeterías, escapamos del sol durante la tarde y disfrutamos el helado en medianoche.
Un de los momentos más interesantes para mí fue la visita del barrio Rastro en el domingo. Lleno de carpas y tiendas en la calle vendiendo un poco de todo. Un típico mercado de pulgas. Y está allí cada domingo por la manana. Además durante toda la semana hay muchas tiendas con disenos muy interesantes. Yo me presté unos de sus ideas y las pueden ver en las fotos.
Otro barrio que me llamó mucha atención es el barrio Lavapies donde vive gente de todas partes del mundo. Por eso hay allí varias restaurantes con comida de todos los rincones del mundo y uno puede practicar todos los idiomas.
Otra vez lo pasé muy rico en Madrid. Disfrutando cosas ya conocidas y explorando cosas nuevas.
