Cestou necestou: Açude (cz/en/es)

Jeden den jsme se vydali na krátkou cestu v okolí Lapinhy, mého brazilského domova. Měli jsme v plánu jít si zalozit na skály v Serra do Cipó, ale ještě předtím se zastavit u jednoho známého něco vyzvednout. Tehdy jsem samozřejmě ještě neměla nejmenší tušení, že vstoupím do úplně nového světa.

Dojeli jsme ke skupině domů nazvané Açude, která vypadala na první pohled jako malá vesnice s jedním domem vedle druhého. Ale mi hned od začátku přišlo, že lidé se tam k sobě nechovají jen jako obyčejní sousedé, spíš jako jedna velká rodina. Později jsem se od svých kamarádů dozvěděla, že Komunita Açude je místo s původem sahajícím až k africkým otrokům přivezeným do Brazílie. Pro takovéto komunity existuje celá řada názvů, v Brazílii se jim říká “quilombos” a na jiných místech kontinentu například “palenques”. Říká se, že quilombo Açude bylo založeno dvěma muži, kteří zde před více než 100 lety hledali se svými rodinami úkryt před životem v otroctví. Dnes má tato komunita podle některých údajů asi 11 rodin skládajících se z 60ti osob. Všechny tradice se pak odráží v pravidelné každoroční oslavě zvané “candombe”. Během těchto oslav jsem za doprovodu bubnů a tradičních zpěvů na chvíli zapomněla na svět a na několik hodin se stala členkou této velké rodiny.

Tady, v regionu Minas Gerais, v oblasti Serra do Cipó, za hornatou zemí, jsem našla komunitu lidí veselých, přívětivých, pohostinných a nakažlivých svou vírou. S nimi jsem si prožila opravdu magické chvilky, naučila jsem se oslavovat svobodu, pochopila jsem, jak jsou důležité rodinné vazby a na několik chvil jsem se cítila součástí něčeho, co mě převyšuje.

One day we took off to see a bit from the surroundings of Lapinha, my brazilian home. We made a plan to go climbing on the rocks of Serra do Cipó, but before to briefly visit a friend just to discuss something. At that moment I was still unaware of the place I was going to enter, a completely new world for me.

We arrived to a cluster of houses called Açude. At the first sight it seemed like a small village with few houses one next to each other. However I could see almost immediately that the people there weren’t just neighbours, they seemed more like one big family. My friends told me later that this community Açude has its roots going down to the African slaves brought onto the continent. Places like this one have various names, among which they’re called “Quilombos” in Brazil or “Palenques” in some other parts of the continent. It is said that the quilombo in Açude was founded by two men and their families during their search for life without slavery. They settled there in Serra do Cipó more than 100 years ago. The community has about 11 families and 60 members these days. All their traditions are reflected in an annual celebration called “candombe”. Even I could forget the world with the rhythm of drums and sound of the traditional chanting and became for few hours a member of the big family.

There, in the region of Minas Gerais, in the area of Serra do Cipó, behind the land of mountains I found a community of people, who are happy, welcoming, hospitable and contagious with their faith. I spent with them literally magical moments, I learned how to celebrate the liberty, I felt the importance of the connections between family members and for few moments I felt to be a part of something bigger than myself.

Un día salimos a uno de nuestros viajes por los alrededores de Lapinha, mi casa en Brasil. El plan era ir a escalar un poco en la zona de escalada en Serra do Cipó, pero antes pasar por casa de un amigo y hablar con él sobre algún negocio. En aquel momento todavía no tuve la menor idea que iba a entrar a un mundo totalmente nuevo para mí.

Llegamos a un conjunto de casas llamado Açude. A primera vista pareció como una vereda pequeña con varias casas una al lado de la otra. Pero me di cuenta casi inmediatamente que la gente allí no eran unos vecinos ordinarios. Más bien parecieron todos de la misma familia. Después aprendí de mis amigos que la Comunidad de Açude es una comunidad con raíces llegando hasta los esclavos africanos. Lugares como este tienen varios nombres. Se llaman “Quilombos” en Brasil o “Palenques” en algunas otras partes del continente. Dicen, que la comunidad de Açude fue fundada por dos hombres que se asentaron allí en la Serra do Cipó con sus familias buscando una vida libre de esclavitud hace más de 100 años. Hoy al día tiene el Quilombo de Açude según algunos datos que encontré 11 familias y 60 personas. Todas las tradiciones se reflejan en una celebración anual llamada “candombe”. Con el ritmo de tambores y el son de cantos tradicionales olvidé el mundo y por algunas horas me convertí en otra más de la familia.

Allí, en la región de Minas Gerais, en la área de Serra do Cipó, detrás de esta tierra de montañas encontré una comunidad de gente alegre, acogedora, hospitalaria y contagiosa con su fe. Con ellos compartí momentos literalmente mágicos, aprendí a festejar la libertad, sentí la importancia de los tejidos entre miembros de una familia y por unos momentos me sentí parte de algo que me supera.
