Pohlednice z Indie – Bundi

Malé městečko Bundi bylo neplánovaným překvapením. Po Udaipuru jsme chtěli poznávat další místa Rajastanu, ale neměli jsme jejich přesné pořadí. Já jsem se trochu vzpříčila plánům, u kterých bychom skákali z města do města a po jediné noci jej opouštěli. Cítila jsem se, že by mě to příliš vyčerpalo. Hledali jsme příjemné místo, kde se nám bude příjemně poznávat indická kultura a historie a kde zůstaneme třeba i tři noci a dostali jsme několik tipů, mezi jinýma i Bundi. V Indii není až tak jednoduché zařizovat dopravu na poslední chvíli, Bundi byla naše volba prostě protože se to dalo stihnout ještě v ten samý den. 

Za zmínku stojí i cesta vlakem – jeli jsme druhou třídou bez rezervace, takže takové to tlačení a tetris 3D naživo :) Já jsem měla podmínky podstatně příjemnější, protože jsem využila dámského vagónu, které najdete v každém indickém vlaku. José to nakonec taky zvládl, čtyři hodin nebyly tak dlouhá doba a prý si i dobře popovídal.

Bundi není zas tak neobjevená perla, na turisty už jsou tam zvyklí. Ale jeho velikost a okolí napomáhá k celkové pohodě a klidu. Potkali jsme pár milých spolucestovatelů (třetí den se ve stejném penzionu ubytoval i jeden český pár) a našli několik příjemných míst, kde utrácet za jídlo a pití. Jedním z nich je v Bundi legendární Krishna Chai, kde se podává ten nejlepší masala chai co jsem zatím měla. Miniaturní místo plné barevných kreseb na zdi a usměvavý pan majitel, co vypadá, že na něčem skoro pořád jede. Spokojení jsme nakonec zůstali 5 nocí, tu poslední hlavně proto, že se José necítil dobře. v žádném případě jsme se nenudili, každý den jsme měli co objevovat.

Tentokrát mám opravdu za těch několik dní v Bundi hodně fotek, tak nechám některé bez komentáře, abyste se zbytečně neunavili čtením :)

Postcards from India – Bundi

The little town called Bundi was an unexpected surprise in our trip. After Udaipur we wanted to see other places in Rajastan, but we didn’t have any fixed plan, just a list of names. After a discussion with José I was complaining that I didn’t want to change place each night. It was too exhausting for me. We were looking for a nice place where we could stay for three nights wondering around and getting to know the Indian culture and history. We got some reccommendations and among those was also Bundi. And at the end we chose this place also because it was the only place we could still get into the very same day.

The train trip is worth mentioning – we took the second class without reservation, so it was the full 3D tetris experience you know from movies or stories. It was much easier for me, because I went to the female coach, but José had the real experience. But he enjoyed it, he said he had some nice conversations. 

Bundi isn’t completely out of the beaten track, many tourists visit the place. But the size of it and the general settings and surroundings make it more peaceful and calm. We met few nice people and found some places where we could spend our money on food and drinks. One of that was the legendary Krishna Chai where I had the best masala chai in the whole India so far. It is a small shop full of colorful paintings on the walls and with the always smiling owner who looks like he has been smoking a lot all his life. Happily we changed our plans and stayed at the end 5 days. The last one also because José wasn’t feeling that well. It didn’t seem long, we had always something to do.

In all those days in Bundi I collected really a big amount of pictures. I will leave many of them without a comment so that you won't get tired :)

Postales de la India – Bundi

La pequeña ciudad llamada Bundi fue una sorpresa inesperada. Queríamos ver otras ciudades de Rajastan después de Udaipur, pero no tuvimos ningún plan fijo, solamente un par de nombres. Lo hablamos con José y yo le dije que no me agradaba mucho la idea de esta viajando de un lugar a otro y cambiar cada noche el hotel. Eso es demasiado cansativo para mí. Entonces empezamos a buscar un lugar tranquilo donde podríamos pasar algunos días, caminar y conocer la historia y la cultura indiana. Recibimos algunas recomendaciones de otros viajeros y entre ellos también sobre la ciudad Bundi. Al final fue nuestra mejor opción, porque el transporte para los otros ciudades pareció demasiado complicado para llegar el mismo día.

Viajar en el tren en la India es a veces una gran aventura, como esta vez. No conseguimos reservas y nos tocó viajar en la segunda clase, un tetris 3D en vivo igual que lo conocen de las películas. Yo tuve una gran ventaja porque me metí al vagón de mujeres junto con nuestras mochilas. Pero José estaba apretadísimo. Después me dijo que lo disfrutó, que tuvo unas conversaciones interesantes. 

No es que Bundi es una ciudad tan desconocida, ya tiene su fama entre los turistas. Pero sigue siendo tranquila y muy pacífica con sus alrededores y vistas bonitas. Conocimos un pare de personas nuevas y encontramos un par de sitios donde gastamos dinero en buena comida o bebida. Por ejemplo la tienda legendaria de Krishna Chai donde he tomado el mejor masala chai en toda la India (mi experiencia :)) Es un local pequeño con paredes llenas de pinturas coloridas y con su dueño que se ríe tanto que parece fumando todo el tiempo. En Bundi nos quedamos al final unos 5 días también porque José no se sintió muy bien el último día. Los días se nos pasaron bastante rápido, siempre nos mantuvimos ocupados.

Quedandome tantos días en Bundi tomé muchas fotos. Por eso dejo varias sin comentarios, así no se van a cansar tan rápido mirandolos :)

Náš penzion byl v podstatě hned vedle. Jezero bylo krásné, jen trochu zanedbané a extrémně znečištěné.
Our guest house was with a view of this lake, which was really nice, just a bit neglected and extremely poluted.
Nuestro pensión estuvo al lado de este lago, un lago bonito, solo abandonado y bastante contaminado.

Mluvili jsme o tom, za kolik by se dalo jezero vyčistit a že by se z něj stalo naprosto geniální místo k odpočinku.
We spoke about the price you would have to pay to clean the lake and how beautiful the place would be.

Problém by asi spíš byl, jak jezero udržet čisté. Ale aspoň někomu se v tom nepořádku daří.
The problem after taking the action and cleaning up the lake might be how to keep it that way. In the meanwhile someone is really enjoying the mess.
El problema real después de limpiar el lago sería como mantenerlo así. Mientras tanto algunos están disfrutando el desórden.

Čištění ulice bylo spíše povrchní - spousta vody, ale většina odpadků na ni stejně zůstala. Všichni se ale dobře bavili.
Cleaning of the streets was rather superficial - a low of water but most of the rubbish stayed on it.

Uličky a domy ve starém městě jsou docela udržované, pokud přijedete zrovna z Dillí, zdají se vám doslova vydrhnuté.
The streets and houses in the old town are quite clean. If you are coming from Delhi they seem shining with cleanliness.

Kromě paláce má Bundi také pevnost, ještě více na kopci. A ještě více opuštěnou.
Besides the palace Bundi has also a fort. Higher on the hill and even more abandoned.

Přenesla jsem se zpátky do dětství, kdy jsem na deskách poslouchala Kiplingovu knihu džunglí. Byl to právě tento palác a pevnost, která ho při psaní inspirovala. Lidé odsud odešli před celou věčností a tak vládu nad pevností převzali opice.
I was carried away back to my childhood when I was listening to Kipling's Jungle Book on LPs. It was in this palace where he got the inspiration for the book. The people left a long time ago so the monkeys took over and rule the place now.
Volví a mi niñez cuando escuchaba El libro de la selva de los LPs. Este fue el palacio que sirvió como inspiración al autor para escribir el libro. Hace años se fue la gente y los micos establecieron su reino aquí.
