San Esteban - Sebrayu (en)

Even though you might meet your co-pilgrims in the albergues, it is not a rule or obligation to walk with them the next day. That is how it worked for me most of the days. Like this day for example. We ate the breakfast together, sharing what we had, but everyone started alone. Beatrice and Jacques left earlier while I was still packing my stuff. I would have gone with Andras, but he was still not feeling perfect and decided to take a bus once more. We wanted to meet in the next albergue though. So another beautiful day on the Camino. And another day when I have my thoughts just for myself...or not? Well, things turned out to be a little bit different this day - very very soon, after few kilometres, I caught up with the lovely french couple and as we were very happy speaking to each other, for the first time really seriously, we kept walking together the whole day. I loved it! They are both such an interesting persons!
But at the end of the day our ways parted, they wanted to continue a bit further in order not to have too many kilometres for the following day. And I chose the cheaper option and wanted to stay in the albergue of Sebrayu. It was a small one, but not too many people were there. We were together just about seven. Among others there was Maria, whom I met in front of the albergue of Comillas, another Spanish man whom I knew from the previous night, two French men I had been meeting every now and then since Güemes and later on also Andras :) And we are meeting again.
As I had quite a bit of time, I washed my clothes and went with Andras to sit down for a while to an apple orchard near the albergue. It was a lovely place close to a small stream, the trees were in blossom...
He told me he had met the three pilgrims from Germany and that unfortunately they are way too much ahead and I cannot catch them. Never mind, at least he had their contact details and who knows, maybe we meet again!
Later we had a lovely what-we-found-in-our-bags dinner with Maria and Rafael, the other Spanish pilgrim and that was a proof of breaking the language barrier when the people want to. (Andras does not speak Spanish and the two Spanish men do not know that much of English.)

Saying good bye to the albergue in San Esteban.
Rozloučení s ubytovnou v San Estebanu.

Such a nice view of the mountains!
And once again the school we slept in.

Nádherný výhled na hory a ještě jednou škola, ve které jsme spali.

One of the fotos with myself I have,
this is because I spent the day with Jacques and Beatrice.

Jedna z fotek, na které jsem přímo já a to díky tomu,
že jsem dnešek strávila s Jacquesem a Beatrice.
Jacques.
