To všechno náš výlet splnil.

Další dva dny jsme s Jeremiasem strávili v Česko-Saském Švýcarsku, spali pod širákem pod zříceninou skalního hradu, pili pivko a jedni klobásu spolu s místními postaršími trampy a vůbec, hrozně si to užili.

The Elbe Sandstone - a place which I always wanted to visit. This Summer I finally visited it with my close friend from the studies in Finland. We chose the place because it was somehow halfway for each of us. The Summer is about journeys by train, sleeping in a tent or under the stars, staying outdoors, guitar, old and new friends, beer and roasted sausages. All of this was included in our trip.

I was surprised by the main train station in Prague, where I found a piano standing in the middle of the hall. It is not just a model, but real piano and anyone who wants can play it. The project Piána na ulici (Pianos on the street) made my day and I hope you have the same chance one day.

In Decin we met with Jeremias and Jirka, our climbing guide and set off for climbing. We spent two nice days climbing on the Czech sandstone and talking about all sorts of things. I ended up very motivated to train a lot and climb much more next time. I am really thankful to our guide Jirka, becuase without him we wouldn't be able to do much.

The next two days we spent in the national park Czech-Saxon Switzerland, slept under the stars next to ruins of a castle, drunk some beer with local people and in general had great lot of fun. Who knows when we will see each other next time, but I know already that it will be great again!

Setkání s rodinou, úžasné léto u rodičů na zahradě s grilováním, spaním v síti i letním ovocem, cyklistické výpady do vždy prázdného centra města a další radosti.

Homecomings... I could call so my travels to Opavain the last years. The last one after one year in Colombia was without doubts the biggest one. Meeting my family, amazing Summer in my parents' garden with all the necessary barbecue, sleeping in hammock, summer fruits, all the cyclo-trips to the always-empty city centre and many other pleasures. I had the chance to meet some of my friends who still remember who I am and I am very greatful for their time and moments spent with me in my home town. I hope that my pictures might give you the idea of the sort of homecomings I am talking about.

No a pak už to bylo o vítání a povídání až do rána.

Každý rok ožije barcelonská čtvrť Gràcie barvami a dekoracemi a my jsme přijely zrovna do tohoto svátku! A navíc jsme bydlely přímo v této čtvrti.

Barcelona was another from the places to visit on my list. Already the trip from Madrid to Barcelona was very interesting - I took a ride with BLABLACAR (Spanish system of carpooling) and all the six or seven hours I spent talking to the other people. The crew was very multicultural - a French chef, his Venezuelan girlfriend and their doggie, a Spanish girl who's father is from Salvador and an Italian guy (who didn't seak much). And that's why the discussion was also multicultural - about politics, social problems, cultural differences,...

I was meeting my close friend Marketa in Barcelona, but before she came I managed to dance a bit of Lindy hop after almost a year. And then when she came we were chatting until the dawn.

During the two and a half days spent in Barcelona we didn't enter any museum, but we enjoyed Barcelona on a bike, on a beach, in a restaurant in a harbor, at the fiesta in Gràcia and on the street.

The neighbourhood of Gràcia comes alive every year with colors and decorations and we arrived precisely for this holiday! And we lived right in this neighborhood. I have to admit that we run through the touristic center of the city within half a day, but we didn't manage to get to know all the interesting things in Gràcia in the next two days. Music, dances, food on the streets, people with drums and fire, laughter and smiley faces.

I was leaving the city of Gaudí with a feeling that I have to return to get to know much more from what it offers.

Tři dny strávené v Madridu jsme s mou kamarádkou a hostitelkou Marií vyplnily výborným jídlem, procházkami po městě, poznáváním nových muzeí i kaváren, odpolední schovávanou před úmorným sluncem a půlnoční zmrzlinou.

Najdete tam restaurace všeho druhu a můžete si tam procvičit všechny cizí jazyky.

Madrid opět potěšil známými věcmi a překvapila několika novými.

Journey with all the changes and bureaucracy on the NEWARK airport was a bit long and a little bit stressful. However, when I landed in Madrid I almost felt like home, suddenly everything was much more familiar and relaxing.

I spent three days in Madrid with my friend and hostess Marie. We filled the days with delicious food, walks around the city, discovering new museums and cafes, hidding from the deadly sun in the afternoons and eating midnight ice-cream.

One of the most interesting things I saw was the Rastro on Sunday and its streets full of stallholders selling all kinds of things. A perfect example of a flea market. And apparently this is repeated every Sunday morning. But during the whole week you can find here many incredible design shops. I borrowed some of the ideas and you can see them on the pictures.

Another area which impressed me was Lavapies - district of ethnic minorities. You can find there restaurants from places all around the world and practice all languages you know.

Madrid pleased me once again with the familiar things and surprized me with some new ones.
